KINGS ARMS PUB & RESTAURANT

The other heart and soul of our village, an enjoyable place to socialise with our families and friends or have a quiet meal for two.

The proprietors, Jo & Lee, have made the pub a "go to" venue with superb evenings for foodies, an imaginative drinks selection and plenty happening, both indoors and out.

Live music from the talented Weymouth area and afar, everything from rock 'n roll to a more subtle vibe happens in the pub, probably every Sunday during a Bank Holiday Weekend.

Summer in their large garden with a stream is delightful, one highlight being their Motor Show, the only time vehicles are allowed on the lawn!.

Christmas is made a very special occasion in their garden with a magnificent display of trees and a "Light's On" ceremony at the start of the festive season.

Come Boxing Day they raise funds for their pet charity Group B Strep Support by sponsoring the, now traditional, "Duck Race" along the stream in Front Street. You can purchase your duck from the bar, dress it and enter it for the lively 100 metre dash!

A vital and perfect addition to the village. Yet again, Jo & Lee have worked wonders, turning our old garage into an exciting local farm shop, full to the brim with delicious local produce and necessities incorporating their very handy café.

The garage was built in the 1920's, then owned by William Duck (Aaah, so that's the reason...very good!)

You will find plenty of our village's history here.
